One bad surprise though, the footbridge from #Glenfinnan visitor centre to the east bank of #LochShiel is closed : that implies a detour including 3 km on a busy road, and #British #drivers (and tourists) are not getting better at #sharingTheRoad...
I've made a note about that closure on #OpenStreetMap, #GoogleMaps doesn't have the footpath not bridge at all, so they're unaffected! ;)

One route that seems doable and enjoyable for us is ferry from #FortWilliam to #Camusnagaul, then road-cycle 42km to #Strontian, stopping there for the night (BnB, recommendations?), in the morning cycle up the road (300m↑, 10km) to #Polloch and then take the #LochShiel forestry road to #Glenfinnan (21km, probably a lot of up and down). From there, there are 2 trains back to #FortWilliam at 5pm ad 7pm.
Comments welcome + I'm looking for similar plans in other places!

The view along Loch Shiel from above its head at Glenfinnan in Lochaber, showing the mountains on its south-east shore and Eilean Ghleann Fhionainn. It was at Glenfinnan that Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard in August 1745. More pics and info: https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/glenfinnan/glenfinnan/index.html
