August 30, 2023 harvest report: This morning Chef Jake Des Voignes (in top photo; also the F&B Manager of Wine & Roses) picked his Fernow Ranch, Mokelumne River-Lodi Fiano—a rare Southern Italian white grape—for Donkey & Goat Winery, the Berkeley-based "natural winery." Chef Jake reports, "The harvest is off to a good start. The crop is lighter but fruit quality really high.
