I'm a bit unsure if it will work properly, but I have just set up #Logsec in my Android phone to sync with #Syncthing, instead of the Evil Google thing... Let's see how it goes. #Tip for lazy people setting things up without reading the manual: it looks like "you have to open the Syncthing web GUI in your phone" in order to accept a folder shared by the desktop device...
