Il postino (English: The postman) is a 1994 Italian film directed by Michael Radford. The main roles are played by Massimo Troisi and Philippe Noiret. The film is based on Neruda's The Mailman by A. Skarmeta. The film won an Oscar for best music and the BAFTA Award for best foreign film.
