We left the church when I was in my early teens, but the rituals of #Easter weekend made a lasting impression. Evening Stations of the Cross service, Saturday and Sunday with all the uncles, aunts, and cousins gathered around a mountain of #Slovak food.

Most of the family is scattered around the globe now and of course many are gone. But I still make the food every year. This morning starting with #lokša, an unleavened potato flatbread, with a little homemade #lekvar spread or butter.
