A GOODBYE

You said we should not stop talking,
I wholeheartedly agree.
But to what end?
If we are never meant to be.

Each time we talk,
My heart walks on the wire.
Barely hanging on,
Ready to fall off anytime.

So here I am,
Writing my goodbye.
Keeping whatever feelings I have,
To stop my heart from breaking.
