I started with this novel all like "I'm going to make this one nice and simple" and ending up as usual. I try to justify myself saying that that's how life actually is, unforeseeable, complicated, convoluted. The truth is I like to read novels that perform such manoeuvres that you'll need a scheme to get your head around it. And the results are these.

Give me a book with 350 pages or less. Any more than that and I get bored half way through the book and end up setting it down. I like to be able to finish a book in a day or two.

I always go around long books. There are so many I want to read, but they often cannot hold my attention long enough to actually read them. Through no fault of the book (it's really some ADD at work there), it gets set aside. And that damn pile is large in my house and has begun it's own game of intimidation with me. So I look longingly at my long books, but just never have enough determination to make it through.

I can't be the only one...

That Feeling When… you enjoyed a library book so much that you go running off to find a copy of your very own.

The book: The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. An 800+ page rollercoaster following multiple characters through a fantastical world. And dragons. Lots of dragons. I also hear there’s another book in that universe on the horizon. :blobcheer:
