Biked with the cellist to #Boulder today, 18 miles of mostly gravel trail that they’ve been wanting to ride since we moved here 7 years ago. had lunch at a favorite Pearl St restaurant, then back to #longmont by bus

it’s just across from the former Lucky’s then Alfalfa’s (vaguely think there was one more grocery in that vein) now empty on Ken Pratt. I keep hoping for a #TraderJoes in that space, it’s got the terrible parking lot all ready to go #longmont

actually took the kids to new Maldo’s yesterday afternoon, too. The new location is annoying (busy intersection, terrible parking) but the spot is cute in a “we got all this 90’s vintage furnishings dirt cheap” way. Kids noted that the space looked like someone had built it in Animal Crossing #longmont

went yesterday to the Old Town Marketplace in #Longmont #Colorado to get empanadas and the booth next door is now Japanese snacks (“Kawaii Konbini”) so I got onigiri too and it’s probably good that the boba place moved down to Ken Pratt or I would camp there and never leave

one of my annoying old man hobbies is being grumpy at everywhere else I’ve lived for not being 90’s #LosAngeles . I mean, #longmont is cool and all but the sidewalks roll up at 10. Not even looking for night life, I just want a hardware store that’s open for the midnight house emergency

@Dorolfe it’s easier to do some places than others. #longmont #colorado is all tortillerias and little markets and farm stands and brewpubs so there are lots of opportunities to buy local
