Accidentally watched Heroes of the Long Road Home last night. I was in First Cav when Black Sunday happened and fast forward five years, I served in Volesky’s brigade with several of the guys from 2-5 Cav. I couldn’t watch the nat geo mini series when it came out - it hit too close to home. Last night resurrected a lot of emotion in me and my other half.
