Yes we are unable to see any shortcuts.

Over time this is going to get easier because ppl who see the value in ppl seeing the value, will volunteer their efforts to help ppl see the value.

FOSS is **still** failing on #lookAndFeel (#LaF, #sexiness). It seems intentional, with much money flowing from #dotcons and JEpstein types. While #Manjaro seems sexy, it has unacceptable/proprietary issues.

One of our goals is simple. To make FOSS #lookAndFeel sexy.

The #userExperience is so important and almost completely ignored in the #freeLicense world.

One of the saddest parts to this we've encountered is the #technocrat will become attached to the poor #design choices, internalise those and find a #quality in #poorQuality.

Yes, there can be an #asthetic to #retro and #ugly but if it doesn't feel obviously deliberate, it just looks awful.
