I really enjoyed reading this. The flag shown probably had 48 stars, & I imagine the top edge is folded over more than is clear. The Presidio is to the east, but I wonder what the military presence was like in San Francisco in 1927. I see there's a VA hospital very nearby.
I miss living in the Bay Area.
