Although the loropetalum was a bit of an early mistake, it's a little workhorse filling it's role in this arrangement, and helping to anchor the reds of the heuchera. Am pretty happy with the composition from this angle.

📷 Google images says this is a "Carolina Midnight" #Loropetalum, but it has green vs purple leaves; no matter, it was Mom's favorite. She bought the sapling, and Dad planted it the #Spring after they bought the house at Christmas, 1985. The story goes. Mom almost never went *into the yard, but loved to sit on the back porch and look a "my tree." It blooms year-round and grows out and up every Spring.
