Finally out of our official isolation yesterday and able to #hike with visiting family. 8 miles in the community forest (proud of us for doing that with 3 dogs in only 4 hours after Covid). #Today we'll take the desert dogs to the beach. Skippyjon LOVES the beach, so we're curious how water dogs (labs) who live in the desert will react.

I'm dreaming of get out on the trail for a few weeks in late spring. Its been too long since i packed my gear. my spirit needs a boost. I turned to Dixie and her "homemade wanderlust" backpacking channel for some inspiration. Here's her three week backpacking challenge.

Sinkyone wilderness, the southern, wilder, lesser hiked portion of the lost coast trail. Solo hike testing out my new tarptent notch. It weighs about 1 1/2 lbs, sets up with hiking poles.

Woah, Holy Moly! local news saying the Lost Coast, and entire Kings Range Conservation Area have had wind gusts up to 94 miles per hr today. Sure hope no one's backpacking the on Lost Coast Trail during this storm. (I wouldn't be totally surprised if someone is)

#RandomRoad moment: Moon shrouded by clouds , #LostCoast CA, around Halloween, 2017. The veil is thin. Tent on the beach, bracing cold, cuppa tea, a whole ocean literally to myself. Looking up, I came up with the term #paleoTV. Who knows what men and women and their kids were thinking watching the sky 20,000 years ago.
