When was the last time we had a "real" technological breakthrough? Like the Internet in the 1990s, the iPhone and the resultant Smartphone revolution in the 2000s!

Apart from Moore's law driven "acceleration" in computing power since then, there isn't much "innovation" going on, except for the Platform/ Gig Economy transformation of our lives.
