#LostLandscapes. A C-shaped #medieval #fishtrap of the beach at Traeth Lligwy on Anglesey in N Wales. Local fishermen built this 140m long curving stone wall across the beach, its end pointing into the beach about 100m from the line of hide tide, s that fish would become trapped in it on the ebbing tide. There are similar traps all around the coasts of the British Isles, signals to past labour & livelihoods. 1/2
