BTW I post news, articles, and video links most weekdays (and some days on the weekend) via #Kbin w/ @realcaseyrollins@kbin.projectsegfau.lt, and sometimes via #Lotide w/ @realcaseyrollins@narwhal.city. If you like newsbots or things of that ilk, feel free to follow those accounts!
@kingmongoose7877 I'll do a lil bit of testing from narwhal.city today, it runs #Lotide which I've found to be fairly stable for the most part. Please tell me if the issue pops back up when I post from there again
I'm so split with #Fediverse alternatives to #Reddit right now...I have been testing three software, all with their own pros and cons:
#Lotide: seamless federation with #Mastodon and #rebased, link posts show the links properly within the post, but federation with #Lemmy and #Kbin seems a bit limited, if technically functional, equating to not being able to see very much content from other #Lemmy and #Kbin instances
#Kbin: Quick, lightweight, link posts show up in the posts properly. and it federates with #Lemmy and #Mastodon quite well, but it is almost completely incompatible with #rebased (accounts will load, but posts will not)
#Lemmy: Great interface, vibrant community, federates with #Kbin, #Lotide, #Mastodon and #rebased, but link posts do not appear properly (they link to the post, not the link the post points to), and the software had a fairly considerable security vulnerability recently
To me, the dream software would be #Kbin that works with all #Fediverse software; full interoperability across the network is the only thing that it's truly missing.

@CSB It's a #Reddit alternative on the #Fediverse, much like #Lotide and #Kbin
#reddit #fediverse #lotide #kbin
@realcaseyrollins@kbin.projectsegfau.lt If I dig and find enough issues with federation, I'll be switching to #Lemmy. Poor federation is why I am looking for a #Lotide alternative in the first place.
Working on an article about #Lotide to post from @casey-magazine. I'm starting to get quite frustrated with its lack of federation, this time, with its lack of federation with #Kbin. Federation between #Kbin and #Lotide is quite literally non-existent.
Hmm...the #Lemmy communities that I follow have gotten so busy that I'm thinking about unfollowing them from #Mastodon and #rebased. The problem is, I don't wanna do that if I can't follow them from #Lotide, which I can't do, at least from narwhal.city, as federation seems broken with at least #Beehaw.
Lack of, or patchy federation support for #Lemmy is slowly making me want to switch away from #Lotide again
#lemmy #mastodon #rebased #lotide #beehaw
@risottobias @andypiper @saluki I've also seen #lotide get a mention but I can't seem to find any info on it.
I've been on Lemmy for a while, how is Kbin different? Or is it like what Plemora is to Mastodon?
@wjmaggos I mean, we do have #Lemmy, #Lotide, and another #Fediverse #Reddit alternative that I completely forgot the name of
