Then I'm going to go out to my first #volunteering session of the year on the local #canal
I've got someone to join me just in case my #vertigo hasn't properly cleared (walking over a lock gate with vertigo isn't fun). I'm only doing a couple of hours as I know it will tire me.

Common Dog-violet for #WildflowerHour. Unlike Sweet Violet whose flowers have a variety of colours from deep purple to white, dog violets tend to all be pale purple. The sepals are a different shape, which is useful once you get your eye in. Also, dog-violets don't have the distinctive sweet smell of violets.
