Really @scalzi #ExitStrategies is even better now than the first time I saw it.

Not often your story ages so well over time...

Out of all the science fiction short stories to I mentioned I think Occam's Scalpel would be the easiest to do! (Seriously!)

There's like two or three settings which are enclosed. And very few characters. And at most, like 4 voices depending on narration choices.

You would need some very good designs to depict some key moments but everything else is just normal office settings.

To be clear, I'm just being selfish here. I repeat this rant often, in the hopes that putting it out there in the universe somehow makes it real. But I have no idea how easy would be to adapt any of these stories. Not to mention there's probably a minefield of obstacles even getting the rights in order to do so.

What science fiction short story would you like to see adapted if legality/money werent an issue?

Dream's Edge also has a story by Frank Herbert called Greenslaves. This story would absolutely spectacular to adapt. The kind of story that you could go ham on the visuals because the imagery is both easy to understand but at the same time complex to visualize and at the same time being really visceral.

There is an old scienc fiction anthology book called Dream's Edge. Every story in there should be adapted.

Specially, People's Park, and Occam's Scalpel. The first by Charles Ott, and the second by Theodore Sturgeon.

But if there can only be one then they should adapt: East Wind, West Wind, by Frank M. Robinson.

Make a worthy adaptation of Taklamakan, by Bruce Sterling. That story is so ready for animation that I can almost taste it on my tongue.

An obscure story I would like to see visualized is: God Loves The Infantry, (don't remember the author but it's on a Writer's of the Future Anthology Annual # 17)

Este relato pertenece a la antología del propio autor «El zoo de papel y otros cuentos» (Alianza editorial, RUNAS, 2017) y también puedes verlo en la primera temporada de la serie de animación de Netflix «Love, Death & Robots» bajo el mismo título.
