ten episodes in to #lovelikethegalaxy, its giving me greetings ninth uncle vibes even though on the surface the setup has nothing to do with each other. shaoshang and yujin are opposite ends on the scale of “strategic female protagonists with crippling abandonment issues”

Stopped punishing myself with the bad series by DNFing it and doing a MAJOR palate cleanser by restarting #LoveLiketheGalaxy which has such a great opening <3
Also 😅 like an entire generation of little girls - really any [woman] under 30 - has been *ruined* by "別怕, 我來了."

@Limecello I am a #LBFAD stan because I find the tropes it starts with to be either seriously annoying or deeply unhealthy, but the characters actually grow out of them and into something entirely different. No idea how I managed to stick with it because I was I R R I T A T ED for at least the first handful of episodes. But the journey is so good! It’s not a perfect show, there are still things I don’t like, but I can recommend it wholeheartedly.
