Bring youngest to hospital as an Outpatient is weird. Same hospital delivered in over 25 years ago, amidst much drama but also great care by fantastic medical staff. A thankfully brief stay in nearest neonatal ICU then back here for Special Care Unit until fit enough to go home. Memories of kicking football for eldest in the grounds on a weekend between visits. #loveNHS

Maybe someone could explain to Steve Barclay that increasing NHS workers wages isn’t taking money away from patient care: it’s investing in it. Who does he think delivers patient care???

Meanwhile nurses, other NHS staff & the rest of us are told to be satisfied with what we have, little though that may be.

… and for anyone who’s wondering, the painkillers I’m on are doing their job quite splendidly in the meantime 😊

Kudos and thanks to our wonderful local NHS team in Devizes and the lovely people on the 111 service for getting me sorted with an appointment this morning after an agonising night with my right hip. Don’t know exactly what I‘ve done to it but I now have painkillers, anti-inflammatories and an x-ray being arranged (date tbc).

No more sweeping up the leaves or cutting up firewood for a while, I guess!
