I'm not exactly sure how I did it, but I managed to raise a severely dyslexic kid who is massively in love with books. Think it was most discovering the Percy Jackson series and getting completely obsessed, but I'll take it.

Dyslexics kids are rather famous for learning to hate reading. Not only will it always be more challenging to them, a lifetime of microagressions from teachers adds up and they give up trying. Books become negative things. I've seen it in her classmates.

A day at mall buying back to school clothes and she brings a nook, after having spent all morning listening to an audio book of another.
