The ride back featured longer inclines so it was a little slower but I still made it in basically the same time as the morning ride when I took a wrong turn. My bum is a little sore and my legs will be sore tomorrow, but overall, not bad! The longest distance ride I've done for about 23 years!

And thanks to the EV for the first 68km it would also be the lowest CO2 commute I have had since I moved out of Nanaimo 20 years ago when I actually biked all the way to work.

Our electricity usage while we were gone. From 73kWh on Sunday (doing laundry all day!) to between 14-17kWh while the house was empty. Most of the savings will be in hot water, (around 10-20kWh), EV charge (30kWh), TV, and stove/cooking. The remaining would be fridge/freezer, computers (including my #selfhost), and a little heat. Heating and HW use heat pumps and some baseboard. We will be back this evening. #energy #home #electricity #LowCarbon
