Hey #screenshotsaturday! I'm continuing work on Realm Rumble, the game I made this year for #lowrezjam. Now that the jam's over, I'm expanding the view beyond 64x64 and fleshing it out into a full tower defense / RTS prototype. It's so fun to work on!

Didn’t do it for the ranking though. Simply creating a game and having feedback so quickly is always cool and rewarding in itself 😊

Made this prototype of an action-puzzle game during the #lowrezjam in #pico8. You have to place pieces so their links connect correctly with pieces on the board. If a group of pieces has no unconnected links, it explodes and scores. Any piece you have not interacted with for a while will turn into a stone, eating space up. Game ends when you can't place the next piece.

Thing is... I'm not sure if this is fun! I might iterate a bit more, but may end up cancelling. I think its lacking something.

Inspired by the #LOWREZJAM entries to start a 64x64 resolution #Pico8 demake / mash-up of Zub and Nebulus. Zubulus, if you will... I won't finish it in time for the jam, but it's fun working within these constraints.
