For Monday morning - four times Cupid was *not* in the mood in Renaissance art.

1) Venus Blindfolding Cupid from the workshop of Titian, c. 1566-70 or c. 1576-80.
2) Venus and Amor from the workshop of Hans Holbein the Younger (1526-28).
3) Venus Playing the Lute with Cupid (last quarter of the 1500s).
4) Cupid complaining to Venus by Lucas Cranach the Elder (1526-27).
