🎧 In 2007, Canadian #LGBTQ rock band #TheCliks covered "Cry Me a River" on their debut LP, "Snakehouse."
That's #LucasSilvera on lead vocals — the first openly trans man to sign to a major label (#TommyBoy).
On reviewer described the band as "what might happen if #ChrissieHynde and the Murmurs' #LeishaHailey fell in love, got #Bowie to help out with insemination and gave birth to an indie rock love child."

🎧 #Queer #Music #History | #TheClicks (clit x dicks dontcha know) recorded #JustinTimberlake's "Cry Me A River" (2007). I was selling CDs to "gay" bookstores; there was one or more in every city then (no more). Their CD made nary a ripple in the US mainstream (they're from Canada), but the #LGBTQ+ CD buyers loved em to death and supported the band.
#LucasSilvera is the #trans man out front—#OUT front—a first for a major label release. #TommyBoy records did that.
