Maybe because the @pinoy #lumpia has evolved? My favorite, is hard not to like, fresh lumpiang ubod (coconut palm heart). 🙃
The sad thing about this version tho, is that when you harvest the palm heart, the palm is cut down.
Before palm heart orchards became popular, they can only be had when putting down old, or unproductive palms.
