Neovim v0.9.2 is now available

This is the first Neovim release since Bram Moolenaar passed away and the archival/deprecation of both null-ls.nvim and packer.nvim.

Is anyone running into any issues with this release (particularly if you use null-ls or packer)? How are the Neovim distros (eg - NvChad, AstroNvim, LazyVim, LunarVim, etc.) performing after the update?

@codemonkeymike has been a go-to for me for quite some time now. It's got excellent built-in transparency, floating terminal, and pretty straightforward config that's easy to add plug-ins similar to how you would with neovim...Definitely check it out! ๐Ÿ˜Ž :nixos:

Been trying to use for the past week instead of VS Code and my fingers are gradually getting used to the muscle memory. I find it less distracting as I can focus on the code and not moving the mouse around clicking on different windows. Anyone using it too ?

I wish there was a LunarVim tutorial on how to set things up. Or if there are any resources on how to set up plugins??

I love it when I find myself reminded by the absolute beauty and awesomeness of editors such as @neovim and !

I forget just how much my workflow tends to change, for the better, when I switch back to using them instead of VSCode from time to time! :neovim: :arch: ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿš€

Of course, when you have learned everything from the series you can just throw out your artisinal, hand crafted config and just use like a sane person.

memes about exiting are made up by clueless millenial users who can't configure it and use preconfigured bundles like ๐Ÿคก

@2DSteve @brianb +1 for this! is pretty usable straight out of the box. I've also heard good things about helix helix-editor.com/. Using , the hardest thing for me to get used to coming from vscode and the like was interacting with debuggers. Nvim-Dap works well, but can be difficult to get setup correctly. TJ's videos are amazing and super helpful as are youtube.com/@ThePrimeagen if you can stand his humor.

@latepaul which quick set did you try for ? Recently, there are lots of nice quickstarters: , , or the tjdevries kickstarter.

Personally, I used , but dropped it in favor of
- cmd + D in iterm for spli screens
- splitting buffers / windows with a mixture of basic keymaps, bufferline and telescope

I only use tmux when I want some process to keep running when I disconnect my ssh (eg for hypertuning)

Lots of firsts...

This has been the first time I've used for developing a project like this.

This is the first time I've used something like as an instructor and it really did a fine job. I believe I couldn't make it without it since code completion wasn't always helpful.

@bpg I went as the community is vast/friendly and whenever anything breaks it is very quickly fixed. This is really important as and the related plugins are still pretty new and constantly changing/being improved upon.
