Neovim v0.9.2 is now available
This is the first Neovim release since Bram Moolenaar passed away and the archival/deprecation of both null-ls.nvim and packer.nvim.
Is anyone running into any issues with this release (particularly if you use null-ls or packer)? How are the Neovim distros (eg - NvChad, AstroNvim, LazyVim, LunarVim, etc.) performing after the update?

@codemonkeymike #lunarvim has been a go-to for me for quite some time now. It's got excellent built-in transparency, floating terminal, and pretty straightforward config that's easy to add plug-ins similar to how you would with neovim...Definitely check it out! ๐ :nixos:
Been trying to use #lunarvim for the past week instead of VS Code and my fingers are gradually getting used to the muscle memory. I find it less distracting as I can focus on the code and not moving the mouse around clicking on different windows. Anyone using it too ? #coding
I love it when I find myself reminded by the absolute beauty and awesomeness of editors such as @neovim and #lunarvim !
I forget just how much my workflow tends to change, for the better, when I switch back to using them instead of VSCode from time to time! :neovim: :arch: ๐ ๐ #archlinux #rust #react #programming
#lunarvim #archlinux #rust #react #programming
Of course, when you have learned everything from the series you can just throw out your artisinal, hand crafted config and just use #lunarvim like a sane person.
@2DSteve @brianb +1 for this! #lunarvim is pretty usable straight out of the box. I've also heard good things about helix https://helix-editor.com/. Using #nvim, the hardest thing for me to get used to coming from vscode and the like was interacting with debuggers. Nvim-Dap works well, but can be difficult to get setup correctly. TJ's videos are amazing and super helpful as are https://www.youtube.com/@ThePrimeagen if you can stand his humor.
@AlexVoss there is also stuff like #AstroNvim and #lunarvim, but I like to fiddle with it ๐
#lazygit (https://github.com/jesseduffield/lazygit) is simply amazing. Using it inside #LunarVim (lunarvim.org/) and enjoying a lot so far.
@latepaul which quick set did you try for #neovim? Recently, there are lots of nice quickstarters: #astronvim , #lunarvim , or the tjdevries kickstarter.
Personally, I used #tmux, but dropped it in favor of
- cmd + D in iterm for spli screens
- splitting buffers / windows with a mixture of basic keymaps, bufferline and telescope
I only use tmux when I want some process to keep running when I disconnect my ssh (eg for hypertuning)
#neovim #astronvim #lunarvim #tmux
Lots of firsts...
This has been the first time I've used #LunarVim for developing a project like this.
This is the first time I've used something like #ChatGPT as an instructor and it really did a fine job. I believe I couldn't make it without it since code completion wasn't always helpful.
@catppuccin on #lunarvim is a match made in heaven!
