Left home 04:20-ish 🚴🌆

Stopped at police outpost, waited for #BikeBuddy who at 05:40 still didn't show so I pedaled to the meetup 🚩 by myself -- the planned rideout was 6AM. Relied on nav app. Almost got to #RizalMonument in #Luneta aka Km 0, but the road was blocked due to festivities. 🤷‍♀️

Eventually found our alternative meetup spot within view of the ceremonies. #RizalDay #Philippines #Manila #bikes #bicycles #cycling

I finally... how do you say... threw in the towel. 😵‍💫

Hired a 6-seater Grab Car to take me and my bike home. Not riding my #bike all the way home.

A Spanish detachment & a priest accompanied him, as garrisons were stationed in #Intramuros & #Luneta bec of fear of uprising. A bugler & a drummer led the way. As Rizal neared the execution site, he exclaimed "Oh Father how terrible it is to die... how one suffers. I forgive them from the bottom of my heart." He saw his executioners—70th Regiment composed of 8 Filipinos, & behind them Spanish shooters in case they hesitate.

Worked in #advertising half of my life w/ a couple of break(down)s in-between. As a creative director/writer, got more and more into the strategic thinking part of communications. Had my 2-minute fame after san FB shout out for a picnic protest at #Luneta w/c became the Million People March in 2013 Aug. Didn't know then that the anxiety building up in me was #impostorsyndrome creeping in. Now, I teach #communications at MINT Business & Arts College.
