The landscape of south east Harris is unlike anything I've seen before. It looked very surreal as we drove along a road that was barely there.
We stayed the night on Harris and finished the drive the next morning. Stopping at the beautiful Luskentyre beach along the way.

A sunny day after a week of dismal rain.
Butterflies in my tummy, just like a kid again.
Damp soft sand squishing my toes
A huge expanse of beach
and then the shimmering sea, as far as the horizon goes.

Foam crested waves gently swishing in then out.
I paddle first then I plunge, breath taken from me, unable to shout.
Breathing in deeply, I taste the tang of salt and vegetation.
Back on the shore I jump as high as I can, giddy with elation.
