For any fellow #LutherArkwright fans heads up #BigFinish have made #audio versions of the first two #graphicNovels. Both starring #DavidTennant. The first one, The Adventures of Luther Arkwright, came out in 2005 and I thought it was superb. Sold out now on CD but still available for £4.99 download. An audio version of the sequel Heart of Empire is coming out later this year. Rereading the original #LutherArkwright it was striking how similar it is in a lot of ways to #HisDarkMaterials. Not a rip off by any means but the former seemed to very much influence the latter. Has Philip Pullman acknowledged that anywhere?

@krady It's been a while and last time I read #LutherArkwright I wasn't convinced it made any sense despite being pretty atmospheric. I liked the sequel more (in which the Cromwellian regime has been defeated and replaced by an English monarchy ruled by a superpowered queen who has taken over the world).
