Just been re-printed in Penguin Classics (paperback), so they wouldn't be giving it away just yet. :)
It would be nice to have it as an eBook to cf. different versions. I've bought the Davis In Way of Swann's so it's leafing backwards and forwards while searching the few that are digitised.
Latest read, three by Lydia Davis; Story, The Fears of Mrs. Orlando, & Liminal: The Little Man (1986). These brief stories each feel stream-of-consciousness to varying degrees; restless monologues about jealousy, insecurity, xenophobia, insomnia, anxiety-- kindred in spirit to Shirley Jackson and Joyce Carol Oates at their most untethered and psychological.
Davis captures the undisciplined, unsettling inner voice. A study on writing 'thought'.
Remarkable.
