Shoutout to #RowlandSHoward & #LydiaLunch who introduced this one to me in the 80s. But I'd grow to love every song on that original Nancy & Lee LP. The hijinks these two got up to on this record - equal parts mawkish sentimentality, trailer park trash talk, and swirling timeless beauty - had no real parallels at the time. This duet is Nancy & Lee at their most deliciously mysterious.

Ze produceert andere bands in het genre en zal veel artiestes ondersteuning geven.

Deze Zuid-Afrikaanse band uit Johannesburg zal een monsterhit scoren met #substite in Europa.
Het was een cover van The rightous brothers, in de USA zou de single niet uitgebracht worden omdat Gloria Gaynor het nummer bracht, maar werd de b-kant een hit, en niet Substitu. Wat voor Clout dan een gemiste kans werd om door te breken in de USA.
