Does anyone have any resources on how to use woodash to nixtimalize corn? and/or process other foods, like oak nuts?

We have a buttload of woodash in a metal garbage can, and I'd love to use it for processing food. I do have an idea on how to do that, but it would be nice to have some instruction on how to do it safely and effectively.
