thread: i'm pretty sure i saw a lynda barry exhibit a long time ago in the bay area. it was called something like "jewish women's confessional art". & there were lynda barry's scribbly, messy drawings.

at the time i was just embarassed. i remember thinking "how stereotypical. what could be more jewish & female than scribbly confessional art? don't us jewish women have anything else to offer besides embarassing personal anecdotes & mess?" [cont'd]
