: Melding om savnet person i fjellet. 2 personer gått sammen. Skilt lag på et tidspunkt, og en dame på 85 år har ikke kommet frem til Bøsætra. Frivillige mannskaper er kalt ut. I tillegg er politiet på veg med helikopter, 2 hunder og drone.

Just over a week ago. Time moves too fast.

These moments start off as an expression of the moment, then dilute into reflections of the day, then rest on a hard drive for a little bit and if they're lucky they resurface with a sense of urgency. "Please don't forget us" they quietly echo.

Adding to my Blue Norway thread today, with some heavy snow. I love when you can see the weather happening in front of you, when you watch the sky changing. One moment there is clouds out in the fjord, and the next moment they turn dark.

Look closely and you can see a ferry about to be enveloped by the clouds :)

We're in Senja. The weather is a touch dramatic. Indeed we've had to bring out the snow chains to get the van up the laneway more than once. Temperatures are typically around -10°C at this time of year. January is pretty dark but things change quickly in February.

Those moments when the sun wrestles with the clouds are my favourite moments. That's when the magic happens.

Tomorrow I'll start sharing a new series of images from Norway. If you can't tell already, I cannot wait to get back and immerse in the Arctic and the snow and special light and the gorgeous scenery and the lovely people. Norway is one of my happy places.

So these images are part of my transition back in 2020. A world where colour is sometimes minimal. From tomorrow we step into the blue of winter.

Can feel the moody side kicking in. The way sunset can fall under the weight of a storm.

This photo was taken in the days before the planet was transformed by covid. We were up in the Arctic, a million miles from the rest of the world. I wanted this moment to last forever.
