Excited to show an installation version of #Mäanderungen (Meanderings) – Acoustical surveys of the City at this year's #Pixxelpoint Nova Gorica.

We now have Slovenian texts. Our title was translated as Meandriranje - akustične študije mesta :thinkhappy:

Lot's of spoken word in German (but also English and Spanish) next to abstract and concrete sound. You may also just follow the rhythms, as we count and describe objects and non-objects in our urban environment.

Our exhibition #Mäanderungen at Reagenz #Graz is ending this Sunday. Today, there is the opportunity to come after 7 pm, as we plan for a small gathering at 7:30 pm. Yesterday was the opening of our new exhibition #Mäanderungen at #Reagenz Graz. Here are some impressions. Tonight at 23h CET, the radio version will be broadcast on ORF Radio Steiermark.

[2/2] The other is #Mäanderungen, the vernissage is a week later, but the amount of work is .... a generative procedure still has to be implemented that recombines the text and sound fragments in a meaningful way. Lot's of programming ahead 😨

So why the effort? Here's what I can do now (very crude sketch, but seems robust): I can segment the voice recordings of our #Mäanderungen project and determine if the voice goes up or down at the end of a phrase / sentence; if it goes down (at least in German), it means I can have the algorithms insert additional breaks and pauses, whereas when the voice goes up, the pauses should not be expanded much as the gesture is incomplete.

We're having a #Mäanderungen weekend. Reactivated my portable Pi camera, a walk around the block pointing mostly upwards. On close-up, they are quite blurry because of exposure time. I want to couple the trigger to an accel sensor so it will be in sync to my movement.

On Friday, we were making fresh observations for the #Mäanderungen project. Found some very particular zebra crossings (and a fantastic place to exhibit, so fingers crossed we'll get the permission).
