I got #DMR working, but only in software, using #DroidStar on Android. With an open-source codec.
Because I was also interested in the #M17 protocol.

The harsh low quality audio of #m17 was a huge deal killer.
Since this demo, we've seen OPV use on a couple of rocket and #satellite projects, and additional protocol layers implemented. Current work is to integrate OPV into the FPGA work for #Haifuraiya

I guess the code on github is related or the real Beken provided demo code. As this document seems to talk about functions a lot.
At the very end of the document. There is this mention of filter bypass for digital use.
That might interest the

No: ham radio should be based on open, free standards. There are plenty of free, open, well documented digital modes (#FT8, #JS9, #WSPR, #M17, #PSK, #Olivia, #RTTY) in addition to the oldest-ever digital mode (#CW). Please support ways of operation everyone can inspect, modify, or build a radio around.
