Day 1531 #DailyPhoto #SkyWatch #Astrophotography This image of the #Dumbbell Nebula aka #M27 is a combination of exposures of 120 seconds, 180 seconds, and 300 seconds using a new-to-me technique to get detail in all parts of the nebula. The Dumbbell is about 1200 light years away in the #Vulpecula constellation. Formed sometime less than 14,000 years ago when nuclear fusion stopped in the core of a star like our Sun, it was the first ever discovered planetary nebula in 1764. #StillLearning

#SkyWatch #Astrophotography #M27 aka the #Dumbbell Nebula is a planetary nebula in the #Vulpecula constellation about 1360 light years from Earth. It was created about 10,000 years ago when a star similar to our sun ran out of fuel and expelled all of its gas and collapsed into a white dwarf. I tried a new process for this image, taking exposures of different lengths to try to capture various kinds of details in different parts of the nebula (with only moderate success). #StillLearning

#astronomie #astronomy guider 2m de focale avec une lunette de 350mm et une webcam non modifiée c'était un peu présomptueux ... l'image de #M27 est quand même sympa, domage que je n'arrive pas à faire la déconvolution avec #siril pour avoir des étoiles plus rondes 🤔
