At the end of the session last night, I couldn't resist pointing at M45, the Pleiades cluster, which was very present to the left of Jupiter. Amazing the amount of dust that’s visible given this is less than 1hr after integration time, 18 x 3mins exposures.

Throwing in the towel on #M45. Was a good lesson! Too hard from DC's skies. Can't get rid of this gradient in #PixInsight :(
Had hubris here on going for a broadband target after my success on #M42, not realizing how much my UHC filter was saving the day.
Also this Canon 1100D's dark bars bug is on its way out-- going to swap for an entry level cooled cam - ASI944MC Pro clone.

I'm still working on learning the best shoot profile for Pleiades #M45 in #bortle9 skies, but I'm really excited about this picture -- it looks like my Celestron AVX mount, polar camera, and guide scope are all really appropriate for each other, and I have a great combo for learning autoguided shots! This guide error looks really really promising -- this is with the medium size #svbony #sv503 80ED rather than the wider field 70mm I was testing. #astrophotography #astrodon

#astronomie petit coup d’œil vers les étoiles hier soir : #Mars est encore bien haute au-dessus de l'horizon ouest juste au-dessous de l'amas des pléiades #M45 dommage que la Lune se soit levé avant que l'éclairage public ne s'éteigne ça limite les poses à 12 secondes pour éviter que le ciel ne devienne trop marron sur l'image
