We are looking for someone interested in deciphering the molecular mechanism of mRNA transfer, by performing a CRISPR/siRNA/drug screen, and using molecular biology & biochemistry tools.

Interesting paper from Tatjana Trcek lab.
She & her team looked at fly #GermGranules nucleation and, well... the title says it all:

New pre-print from Voula Mili lab.
she suggests that mRNA localization and translation rate determine the localization of a protein which is found both in nucleus and cytoplasm.
I'll need to find time to dive it and read in detail.

I ried the original protocol a few years ago and didn't work well. inconsistent labeling (some good, some poor) and wasn't *that* cheap.
but maybe time to re-visit this protocol with this improved version:
