Really grateful and intimidated to be a guest on this week’s #macadmins #MacAdmin podcast to talk about Baseline and making it #opensource
It was really fun to participate, haven’t listened to myself yet hope I didn’t embarrass myself too much 😬 https://podcast.macadmins.org/2023/04/11/episode-310-baseline-with-trevor-rob/

We have a small handful of Macs that are constantly having DHCP issues. It is really hard to pin down when this will happen. It happens frequently but randomly enough that it’s hard to reproduce, but we have seen it across multiple customers now on Ventura. We have tried removing all network extension based apps but it’s still happening. Anyone else seeing this or know of a fix that’s better than rebooting? Disabling and re-enabling the port doesn’t fix it. #macadmin
First flight since 2019!
Flying out of PHL, I always check to make sure that they haven’t replaced the old Mac Minis running snow leopard for their signage. They haven’t! These things have been here since at least 2012.

New Post on Year Of The Geek: Tech Companies...Stop Supporting States who Dehumanize
This shouldn't be political but here we are. I HAD to write this... :heart_pride:

Question for my #macAdmin people; you think it would be a bad idea for me to write a blog post decrying (you know who) for hosting a conference in Texas? I mean, I will be as respectful as they are…
Don’t forget folks, the Philly Mac Admins are meeting this evening at 6pm EST! All are welcome, even if you're not local, stop in and say hi.

Hey #MacAdmin or #InfoSec admin, yea you. Do like #OpenSource projects and solutions? Do like to learn about the code from its creator at a conference? Want to get a small taste of a security conference? Do you like an awesome hack night where fellow #MacAdmins try to solve an issue affecting the community? If you have said YES to any of these I would highly recommend you check out and register for MacDevOpsYVR in Vancouver BC on June 21-22, 2023.

Join us and say hi at office hours today! Every other Thursday at 10 AM PST we talk about all things open source Apple MDM. https://github.com/micromdm/micromdm/discussions/763 #MacAdmin #MDM
After a 2-year COVID hiatus, the /dev/world #conference is returning to #Melbourne in late March!
A few things are staying the same:
✅ the fantastic AU/NZ Apple community
✅ a new-speaker-friendly CFP + audience
✅ the fab dietary-friendly catering
But with a few key additions:
✴️ #MacAdmin talks alongside the existing #AppleDev stream
✴️ a thoughtful COVID-safe plan and largely outdoor venue
✴️ increased speaker support, to include consideration for travel insurance
We think it'll be the best one yet!
Feel free to reach out if you want to chat talk ideas with me, or check out our #CFP directly at https://auc.edu.au/devworld/cfp/

To be clear, I think that last boost is a touch cuckoo, it’s just entertaining to see somebody wander into well-trod #MacAdmin territory
Muscle memory is a strange thing.
I haven’t touched Jamf in nearly a year (using Kandji now) and yet I still type `sudo jamf` then realize that won’t work.
Just #macadmin things.
Jamf is hiring a Senior Professional Services Engineer (my old job). Great for someone with consulting and/or advanced Jamf Pro administrator experience.
"The Sr. Professional Services Engineer is responsible for delivering services and support to customers related to the implementation and integration of Jamf products and related technologies."
