I had to try a variation using an #espresso machine rather than a mocha pot. An espresso where you steal the first teaspoon to mix with a load of sugar, whisk it to a cream, add to the espresso base, then make it into a #macchiato with a drop of frothed milk.

New favorite drink: #macchiato ☕
This is a rather popular drink in most coffee shops. Usually with caramel syrup on top. Hence, the caramel macchiato hype.
But I found out that the real macchiato is 1 part #espresso + 1 part foamy milk. In that order.
There's a variation called a #latte macchiato, w/c has the order of pouring reversed. Milk first then espresso.
The difference with a regular latte is that a latte has more milk, and it's espresso first then milk.
And that's why...1/2
