🐱🐴🐪🍃 Sabretooth cats roamed the Midwest! Recent information released by Iowa State University describes a subadult male Smilodon found on the East Ninshnabotna River near Shenandoah.

The researchers used radiocarbon dating to age the cat to ~13,500 years. The find adds to a total of only about 70 specimens found across the country. 🐘🐟
