When someone’s upset and says, “Drat,”
The word sounds appallingly flat.
Such a mealy-mouth curse!
So genteel — I’m averse.
Kindly try to swear better than that.

Criminal behaviour of a rather ragged boy
The breaking of a window
With his bow and arrow toy
He had aimed it at a box with a roundel on display
But the flying arrow from the target went astray
It bounced off a branch in a balletic ricochet
And through the kitchen window
A crime for which he’d have to pay
Hoping that the penalty would be so very minimal a judgement swift and light
I mean it wasn’t his fault it was the arrows flight
Then he heard the scream of rage and ran.

Wondering what’s underneath your pants
Playing bigotry like a team-y sport
Making us listen to their rants

Don’t judge a book just by its cover
Everyone knows that
They care the gender of my lover
While their love just falls flat

For the befuddled, here’s a helping hand
Though I give it with a sigh
If underneath, you seek to understand
Look a person in the eye!
