Also, for what it's worth, the Globe loves the MCAS, which of course has cut the number of field trips down exponentially. Why send kids on a field trip whose content won't be covered on the test? The idea that they suddenly care about field trips is risible. #MAPoli #MAedu

Also I know the answer to why they don't pull from the waiting list in 9th grade. They're afraid if they have to serve students that just got to the school, or the country for that matter, (like a public school would), those students will drag down their MCAS scores. #MAPoli, #MAedu
