I got The Great Illusionists when I was about 12 and it changed my life. I was lucky enough to meet Eddie a few years ago and thanked him personally for what he’s given me.

He was the nicest person and he pressed upon me that for magic history to be of proper value it needs to be referenced. A small point, but one I’ve stuck to since.

He leaves an incredible legacy.

The saddest thing about my job I always leave to last when sorting a late magician or magic historian’s library. The files of loose magic research. Usually 95% get absorbed into my files, but it’s always tough to break apart and distribute papers so integral to someone else’s passion and thought process. #magichistory #magician

My new book’s out now! It’s my second about the iconic magic and joke firm Ellisdons. I’ve had some hand-stitched boxes made for them by a traditional box maker here in Sheffield.
