On reflection, I think I am biased by the Protestant bias in my country's history. Every country had harsh justice systems. Was the Spanish Inquisition unusual? Be careful about some of the legal jargon. And much of United States history is tinted by the Puritans, a sect so extreme that the Protestants of Europe sent them away.

And then I see the conflict between Britain and Spain through the eyes of #Mahan

I had a few excellent sitar, bhangra & other albums on minidisc I swapped albums etc to get in 90s & 00s. I sort of lost quite a bit of that stuff with moving away from minidiscs.
