This is not to say that there are not problems. But I've always thought religious communities are so diverse. Consider #Christianity - you can have hardcore Christian nationalists in the US and you can have radical peace churches like the Quakers, Mennonites, and Amish within the same tradition.

Two weeks ago my mother told me “you know, I actually know almost nothing about Buddhism.”
I reminded her that she happen to have a son who happen to be a sinologist with specific mastery of Chinese religions history and have taught Asian philosophy in the past.
So I started to write a syllabus for her and got back to my books about Buddhism, let’s see how it’ll work out with my lack of spare time.

Five of the past #Buddhas are considered Cosmic Buddhas. They abide in their #PureLand where they continue to work for the salvation of all sentient beings. Good news. There is only 1 moderator of the #Buddhism discussion group on #Reddit ( /r/Buddhism ) that is also a member of /r/GoldenSwastika.

The latter group has taken umbrage in the past about westerners having a problem with the swastika on display in western countries.

I am only familiar with #Theravada Buddhism so I went to a web board for #Mahayana Buddhism. According to the #Buddhists there it is a minor symbol among many minor symbols - for most types of #Buddhism.
