FAO maize cycles are more complicated than the Gregorian calendar. Back when I started sowing maize I had to make a linear regression to make some sense of it.

Low levels last fall resulted in flotillas south of #StLouis being reduced in number from 40 barges to 25, with each one only able to hold 75% of their normal freight capacity.
