Très jolie découverte que Makanai : Dans la cuisine des maiko, série Netflix de Hirokazu Kore-eda. Une plongée dans le quotidien de deux maiko, deux ados japonaises qui espèrent devenir geishas.

C’est un univers méconnu qui s’ouvre à nous, avec beaucoup de douceur, sans masquer les points noirs, mais sans drame pour autant.

#Makanai was enjoyable and I recommend it, if you like Japanese miniseries about finding one's place and seeking perfection in one's craft

One of the things I like about Japanese miniseries like this one is that even though the content is extremely wholesome, the characters are allowed to be complex; conflicts and emotions can be quite deep
